Since you are probably new here, we'd like to introduce ourselves and get you oriented.
First, most groups that have anything to do with politics are organized along a left-center -right continuum or focus on a single issue or set of issues with narrow ideological appeal. That's not us. We see the political world divided into camps of political insiders versus political outsiders. The insiders support the Washington DC -based system of special interests and career politicians. The political outsiders are ordinary citizens of all political stripes who understand that American government has become corrupt and broken. We are conservatives, progressives, and centrists with a common interest. Read here to see how such a coalition is possible and necessary.
For reasons of both policy and politics, we are packaging together three election reforms: congressional term limits, clean elections, and an end to gerrymandering. While the need for reform is clear and compelling, the solutions can get a little complicated and wonky. Click on each reform to learn more.
The American people overwhelmingly support the sorts of solutions we propose. But because we political outsiders are unorganized and intensely divided by ideology, getting our strategy right is a critical. Read about our strategic approach here.
We aim to be a bottom-up grassroots organization. We will strive to provide enough structure on our end to help activists help the movement. But we need leaders: citizens to help with fundraising, local and state organizing, and writing and editing. If you have a background in any of these areas and would like to help, please contact us. We will lead and run this movement together.
We also need followers. Please do not leave this site without signing up, "liking us" on Facebook, or sending out a tweet. Please consider making a financial donation, no matter how small (or large!). To date, our greatest strength comes from the promising contacts we have had made on the Left and Right, including key activists and potential funders of national public stature. They are watching this web site to see if our idea takes off. Please help make our movement go viral. Please join us!
